The Book of Romans Part 13
What does it actually look like to live out everything we believe? After months of diving deep into the theology of Romans, we finally arrive at the chapter where Paul stops explaining and starts showing us how to walk it out. Romans 12 is the answer to the great 'so what' of the Christian faith. At the heart of this passage is a striking call: offer yourself as a living sacrifice. Not your money, not your talents alone, not your time on a checklist, but you, fully and completely. This idea echoes something remarkable that anthropologists have discovered across every ancient culture on earth, that even societies with no access to Scripture somehow understood that a supreme Creator exists, that something went wrong between humanity and that Creator, and that a sacrifice was needed to make it right. Paul tells us the sacrifice God actually wants is us, surrendered, renewed in mind, and transformed from the inside out. We explore what it means to stop being shaped by the world around us and start being shaped by the Spirit within us, and why that daily surrender is not a loss but the very gateway to the life we were made for.
